About Balibart

At Balibart, the commitment that is driving us is to enable artists worldwide to make a living from their creations. It’s an ambitious goal that we are fighting for everyday.
The priority for an artist trying to make a living through their creations is to gain exposure. In order to increase their visibility, we have launched an online platform that showcases artists we want to feature and art that we love.
An artist is most and foremost a creative that needs time to focus on what they do best: creating. They need to be able to have as much time as possible to paint, draw, illustrate, shoot, etc. with the creative process as a sole concern. That’s why we developed a solution adapted to the needs of artists: Balibart The Shop. This platform enables any creative to create their own online store, sell quality products and get revenue from their sales without taking on any risk. We personally take care of the rest, from the production of the pieces in our ateliers in France to the shipping and handling of orders, stock management and order tracking.
We are very proud to work with french ateliers that guarantee an authentic know-how. Thanks to these ateliers, we are able to offer eco-friendly clothes that respect the fair trade system. They’re also soft and well cut obviously!

(Our) Artists

Balibart artists are promising artists from around the globe. Illustrators, photographers, graphic designers or painters that have established themselves in the art world through features in specialised press or winning prestigious prizes. They are often creative directors for brands such as Nike or L’Oréal or art directors and illustrators for magazines like the New York Times, Le Monde or The Washington post.
Balibart’s services are free for all artists worldwide. Our mission is to enable artists to make a living through selling their artwork, charging them for this service would be contradictory. The artist sets freely the price they want to put on a specific product, given the production cost. When the product is sold on Balibart, we deduce the production cost from the artist’s revenue. For each product sold, the artist is earning money easily and effortlessly!
We would be pleased to submit your artwork for review by our creative team. Contact us here to show us your creations. If your artwork is selected by our creative team, we will contact you as soon as possible.

(Our) Products

Our Paris atelier usually makes these prints for art galleries. The technique used is inkjet on 250 gsm Fine Art paper. This technique guarantees flawless rendering of color and contrast.
Our frames are handmade in France from Oak wood sticks. They revive craftsmanship and respect the environment. You can choose between three colours: black, raw and white.
Dye-sublimation is a technique that uses heat to transfer dye onto any material. The great advantage with this technique is that once they exit the printer, the prints are dry and ready to handle, they are embedded in the material and cannot be damaged. Even if the prints get scratched or scrubbed, the image stays intact and the colours remain flawless and well preserved. We use this technique on light wood plaques that you can easily hang on a wall. As they are frameless, the artwork can occupy the space you choose for in a whole new way.
We believe that the quality of our prints and the talent of our artists are exceptional, thus our limited edition artwork is limited to thirty copies. Furthermore, the artist in this case grants worldwide exclusivity on the printmaking of their artwork to Balibart, we thus have to make sure that only thirty copies are available in the world. Each artwork is signed and numbered by the artist’s hand, even when they live in Japan!

The technique used is 12 colour ink jet that respects the original tones. After the printing process, the clothes are handled and dried so as to last longer. The outcome is somewhat similar to that obtained with silk screening: the visual is not thick, it doesn’t stick, it’s faithful to the original colours and preserves well. The t-shirts are well cut and fit well, you can choose your usual size, we guarantee you’ll look good!

When you land on balibart.com, you can browse the website by choosing the product you’re interested in (scrolling list “surprising object”) and the personality of the person who will get the product (scrolling list “inspired creative"). We are convinced that it’s easier to find the most suitable product by starting from one’s taste and personality instead of cold objective criteria. For instance, you can look for a t-shirt for an adventurer or a print for a dreamer. And if you have no idea what you’re looking for, you can always browse from the home page where the products are listed by category: Art (prints, framed artwork, limited editions, colours…), lifestyle ( Menswear / womenswear) and gifts (gift cards, games…)
Once you find the product that makes your heart melt, you can simply add it to your cart and confirm your order. You’ll be redirected to specify your shipping address and billing address. Our payment service provider MongoPay will then take care of authorising the transaction thanks to its state of the art security online payment system. You’ll receive a confirmation email that validates your payment and informs you of the handling of your package by our atelier that ships it to you the next day.

It’s a great idea to introduce artwork to your working space and we can only encourage you to do that! For companies, we have special offers with advantageous pricing that depends on volume. We can also make custom made artworks: an original creation by an artist, a mural with the values of your company, a giant sticker, outstanding formats, on site services... This is in fact unusual and we are really sorry for the inconvenience. In theory, confirmation emails are automatically sent when you order is ready. There’s three possibilities: Either the package hasn’t been sent yet, or the email got lost in your Spams folder (which happens a lot) or there’s an issue on our end. In any case, you should be able to track the progression of your order by logging in to your personal space.
We would be more than glad to put you in contact with one of our artists that caught your eye to the point where you want to commission them for an artwork. In this case, we can help you with the brief submission and art direction. Our artists are highly demanded and we want to make sure they stay focused on what they do best: create. We take care of the rest and help them in areas where they are less knowledgeable and less comfortable. Thus, we would be happy to mediate between you and the artist and make sure the brief is clear and the deliverable artwork is meeting your expectations. Payment

No matter what card you’re using, the transaction is authorised by MangoPay, the european leader of online secure payments. Your credit card information is encrypted through SSL (Secure Socket Layer). It doesn’t appear anywhere on the internet and it cannot be intercepted. Your credit card information ( Card number, expiration date…) do not go through Balibart. When you’re filling the form with your credit card information, these visual elements guarantee the security of your transaction: - The lock or key on the bottom right of your screen. - The web address of the stage starts with https:// instead of http:// which means you’re on a secure page. Since Balibart’s start, thousands of transaction have taken place without any issue.
You can log in to you personal space and access your receipts by clicking on the corresponding link.
We are working with a payment service provider MongoPay for all transactions taking place on Balibart. They take care of authorising the transaction thanks to their state of the art security online payment system. If however, the transaction is not accepted/ confirmed, feel free to contact our Customer service via contact@balibart.com. We will do everything necessary to resolve the situation directly with MongoPay.
If an order is not living up to your expectations, we completely understand! It happens! No need to worry though, you simply have to log in to your personal space, in the Exchange and Return section, you can put in a request: either to exchange the product because the size or the product doesn’t fit what was wanted or proceed to a refund. Either way, you need to send us the undesired product so we can take care of your request.

Shipping and Handling

We ship everywhere in the world because we believe that art should be accessible anywhere to everyone!

We do everything possible to deliver our products in optimal conditions. The packaging will vary depending on the product: For the clothes, we usually package them in water and tear proof envelopes. The prints are delivered in tubes that are highly resistant, sealed and surrounded by a wrapping so as not to get crushed. The framed prints are delivered in double wall telescope boxes with two layers of bubble wrap inside and foam reinforcements around the four corners of the frame. All these packages have been tested and approved by our transportation partner during their distribution itineraries.

There’s a possibility that you might not be there when our shipping partner delivers your package. Anyhow, you are informed by email and/or phone about the time our partner come through so you can anticipate the delivery. In case the delivery is unsuccessful, our shipping partner will let you schedule another delivery on a day the suits you. They can also deposit the package at a store near you (Point Relais) or at the nearest post office. You package is therefore not lost, but it’s awaiting to be delivered at your convenience.
If your tracking number is not working, feel free to email us via contact@balibart.com in order to send you the correct number. You can also check on your personal space where your orders are listed if the tracking number is any different.
Of course! When confirming your order, you are directed to fill in your shipping address. You can choose any address you wish!

This is as easy as it gets, go to the Gifts section in the menu, you can choose the amount you put on the card and then proceed to confirming your order. You can either send the gift card directly to its receiver’s address or ship it to yourself in order give it to them personally.
First things first, you have to say thank you to whoever gave it to you, they have good taste :) Afterwards it’s only a matter of finding the product of your dreams on Balibart. Then, proceed with the order. When you’re about to confirm your order, put in the code of your gift card into the corresponding field and the rebait will be automatically applied to your total. At this stage, you simply have to confirm your order and that’s it!

This is very easy: in the account section, if you’re not logged in, you’ll be asked to put in your first name, last name and email to sign up. You can also sign up through Facebook if you want to make it faster. No personal information will be used or shared. After you sign up you’ll receive a welcome email along with a little welcome gift :)
